MEET THE CHAMBER BOARD
The Onaway Chamber Board is an all-volunteer board.

President
Justine Lalonde
I have lived in Onaway for almost the entirety of my life. I represent Red Oak Gunsmithing, our family-owned and operated business. I am inspired to continue to assist Onaway to thrive in every way, but to still keep that small, hometown feel. Onaway will still be here in 100 years, but I am hoping it will be just a little better having our Chamber promote our local businesses, provide community and fundraising events so we can continue to have “The Greatest 4th in the North”!

Vice President
Katie Parr
Originally from the Ann Arbor area, we vacationed “up north” on the Black River. My family moved their business, Michigan Log Homes, and their home to Onaway - which made it my new home. I met my husband Levi here and this is where we've chosen to raise our two children. I feel it's extremely important to give back to the community you live in. I want to help make this community a strong and vibrant place to live, work, and play. I work for MSU Extension as a Child & Family Development Program Instructor and represent the Board as a Friend of the Chamber.

Secretary
Yolanda Romel
My name is Yolanda D. Romel and I represent the Onaway Motel. I have been an Onaway Community Chamber of Commerce Board Member for the past 10 years and the Secretary for the past 8 years. I also work at Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium. My mission on the Board is to assist in representing, promoting, and improving the Onaway Community.

Treasurer
Jessica Chandler
Jessica Chandler is a Friend of the Chamber and has served on the board since 2024. Jessica is a native to the area, growing up on the family farm East of Onaway. After college, she moved to Florida where she met her husband and started a family. They relocated back to Michigan to raise their children in the same place that she grew up. Jessica wanted her children to experience what she did and have her family grow up in a small town where everyone knows each other and is willing to help one another out. She wants to help her community grow and see businesses flourish.

Board Member
Alicia Wallace
Alicia Wallace has served on the Chamber board since 2015, actively working to foster economic growth and support community events in Onaway. A proud alumnus of Onaway High School, Alicia has dedicated much of her professional and personal life to supporting her community. For the past 10 years, Alicia has served as the Marketing & Communications Manager for Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium, where she plays a key role in connecting employers and job seekers with workforce development resources. Her strategic marketing efforts help drive positive outcomes for both businesses and job seekers across the region.
